I have a used Microchip microcontroller and parts from older vacuum robot such as sensors, motor, wheel and switches.I keep imaginating on how it would look like? With lack of 'Midas Touch' I guess I couldn't make it in short period. Then I look forward to my new DEEBOT, have a quick look the entire body, then I got something useful in my mind! If you also have DEEBOT D58 / D76 you probably could make the 'Mopping Pad' by yourself! Its great right? And for sure you just spend only a few bucks to buy things..
Ok lets have some fun with your robot. LUCKILY DEEBOT has been design so simple at the down side of the cover. It will give me an advantage to put the 'Mopping Pad' on it. After this, instead of vacuuming, sweeeping it also can mop dry or wet as you wish. Wasn't it GREAT?
1. First you need to buy yourself a piece of microfibre clothe, 'Magic Straps, for attaching your pad onto your robot and an old hard cover file also sponge from your kitchen.
2. Cut your things as below:
Microfibre. 4 x 3 inches
Hard cover file. 4 x 1 inches
Sponge. 4 x 1 inches3.
For your sponge, make sure you determine yourself the height from the floor surface to your robot.... Make sure the microfiber touches the
floor..
4. Then stick the sponge between the file cover and the clothe with some water proof glue.
5. Make sure the microfiber covering the whole surface of the sponge.
6. Finally you may cut the 'Magic Straps' and stick onto your robot and your pad so you may easily take or attach the pad whenever you desire.
Now you could use your DEEBOT with more extra jobs. The result may vary but it still helping you.
* Remember dragging could reduce your robot power so try to make your 'Mopping 'pad smaller as possible*
